Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review federal and state corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Analyze and prepare tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740, including the calculation of the effective tax rate, deferred taxes, and tax disclosures for financial statements.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and related financial statement disclosures.
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax impacts of business decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for tax filings and provision calculations.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations at both the federal and state levels and analyze the effects on the company.
  • Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities.
  • Implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax benefits.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls related to tax processes and documentation.
  • Assist in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
  • Experience with partnership tax compliance is a plus and will be highly regarded.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
  • 4-5 years of progressive tax accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state corporate tax compliance and experience with tax provision under ASC 740.
  • Experience with partnership tax compliance is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of international tax compliance is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
