ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a unique opportunity to help our fast-growing, wholly owned Australian subsidiary develop its brand and strengthen its relationships in the Australian wholesale market. The role will require familiarity with the intermediary landscape, specifically wholesale asset consultants, licensees and independent financial advisers.
The candidate must possess strong analytical and relationship skills. The candidate will be an excellent communicator, have solid organizational skills, and be willing to multi-task in a dynamic environment. Additionally, the candidate must be a proven self-starter who has a strong desire to succeed, has enthusiasm for the industry, and able to work within the opportunities and limitations that a boutique global investment firm offers. The role of Director, Business Development reports to the Head of the Wholesale Australian business and is responsible for distributing and marketing to the Australian wholesale market. Specifically, it involves working closely with the wholesale asset consultants, national licensees, private banks, and independent wealth firms to promote GQG’s investment strategies. The role involves positioning to these intermediaries GQG’s differentiated investment philosophy, institutional grade investment operations, and our competitively priced global equity and emerging market equity solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with assigned panel of independent financial advisors and licensees to drive new business into the GQG Partners suite of funds.
- Work with research professionals across panel to ensure the GQG Partners funds are included in their research universe and considered for their model portfolio inclusion.
- Drive bottom-up demand from segmented and prioritized authorized representatives to help promote the GQG Partners funds to licensee researchers and platforms.
- Effectively service GQG Partners clients in the NSW market, ensuring they are kept up to date with performance and portfolio changes within the GQG Partners suite of funds.
- Work with the team to refine and implement the NSW wholesale market business plan.
- Synthesize and communicate client insights and market intelligence to team.
- Manage and maintain wholesale market interactions within the CRM (Salesforce).

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree.
- CFA or industry designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
