ABOUT THE POSITION

Under the supervision of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the Cloud Automation Engineer will be responsible for building tools to effectively and securely automate our operations in GQG’s cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Automation Engineer will play an important role in developing automation and implementation strategies to support the company’s technological advancement. We are seeking a self-driven, experienced individual, who can work both independently and collaboratively. This role requires technical expertise in cloud automation tools and technologies that are optimal for managing Microsoft Azure and Entra ID environment, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Salary Range: $160,000 – $200,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
  • Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automatic resources deployments.
  • Automate already established manual and semi-automated processes of deploying Azure, Entra ID, and M365 resources.
  • Ensure compliance with the existing security policies and requirement around cloud deployments and identity management.
  • Troubleshoot issues and propose long-term solutions related to automation and cloud infrastructure.
  • Actively participate in improving the policy and standards around technology. Write documentation related to job duties.
  • Clearly communicate proposed solutions and share the details with the members of the IT team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Three or more years of experience with DevOps in an Azure/M365 context.
  • Experience with Bicep and ARM templates. Terraform is a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of PowerShell scripting overall, including Azure, M365, and GraphAPI related modules.
  • Experience with Python as a language to build automation tools.
  • Experience with all components of Azure DevOps, including pipelines.
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft technologies, deep understanding of Azure platform and Entra ID: resources, identities, enterprise applications, authentication flows, permissions, etc.
  • DevOps or Azure-related professional certifications are a plus.
