KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly budget to actual reporting, research variances, and develop variance analysis.
  • Maintain the budget model by capturing business updates through quarterly department meetings to develop updated operating expense forecasts.
  • Participate in the month-end close process by providing variance analysis and commentary on budget versus actual results.
  • Contribute to the preparation of management reporting packages for senior leadership, highlighting key financial and operational metrics.
  • Support the development of financial models to evaluate business opportunities, including scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and analysis functions.
  • Conduct industry research, peer analysis, and benchmarking studies to support strategic initiatives and to stay informed of market trends.
  • Support the preparation of presentation materials for board meetings, investor presentations, and other ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects with other departments to provide financial insights and analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a related finance role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with proven data analysis and modeling experience.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
